Fryo Cheanchi Marak, a student with Hearing Impairment and a resident of Dadenggre, West Garo Hills, Meghalaya pursued her Masters and was awarded a Gold Medal in Garo. She was also the highest scorer in her Graduation (Garo).
Through her academic career, she was awarded the Meritorious Scholarship, State Resource Centre on Disability Affairs, Civil Hospital, Shillong and this scheme helped her attain new heights.

Yesterday, Shri Conrad Sangma, Hon'ble Chief Minister handed a motorised wheelchair to Mr Justipassing Ryntathiang, a disabled entrepreneur and an awardee of the e-challenge Entrepreneurship Programme.
This was made possible with the collaborative effort of Shri G H P Raju, IPS, Principal Secretary, Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities and the SRCDA Team.

SRCDA Logo designed by Boston-based designer

With the help of the Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Government of Meghalaya, the SRCDA could zero-in on a Logo designed by Boston-based designer, Mr Markynsai Lamar capturing (a) Meghalaya, the abode of clouds and (b) Disability.
With a new facelift, the SRCDA envisions to work harder and smarter for the Persons with Disabilities in the State of Meghalaya.
